We are delighted to invite you to “The future of hybrid work: Opportunities & challenges for people with disabilities in the legal sector” hosted by The disAbility Legal Network in collaboration with A&L Goodbody LLP.
This event taking place on Tuesday, 29 November 2022 marks the celebration of:
- the International Day of Persons with Disabilities taking place on 3rd December 2022; and
- the first anniversary of the launch of the website of the disAbility Legal Network.
It will be a hybrid event and as such we invite you to join us in person at 7.30 am (GMT +1) at the Clayton Hotel Cardiff Lane or alternatively online from 8am (GMT +1).
The event will explore the impact of the cultural shift towards hybrid working in recent years on the lives of people with disabilities in the legal sector. We also hope to explore how hybrid working can promote inclusion, and break down barriers for people with disabilities in the legal sector.
Our KeyNote Speaker is Joan O’Donnell, author and researcher behind the landmark report by Employers for Change and the Open Doors Initiative from November 2021 entitled “The future of work and disability – A remote opportunity“.
Joan O’Donnell will then join a panel discussion moderated by Duncan Inverarity, Head of the employment law group at A&L Goodbody LLP, with panellists to include:
- Dr Patricia McCarthy, Research Fellow in the School of Education, Trinity College Dublin; and
- Jane Barrett, Associate at William Fry LLP and founder/ChairPerson of the disAbility Legal Network.
Our panellists will draw from their lived experiences to discuss the impact of the move to hybrid working for people with disabilities and the opportunities and challenges that arise.
RSVP by Wednesday 23 November.
